Puppies Now--Ready mid-to-late January 2025

Important information for prospective owners

If you would like to reserve a puppy, please fill out our puppy questionnaire and a member of the Snowlion Team will be in touch.

Reservations are by deposits only and are taken once a pregnancy is confirmed by ultrasound at 4-5 weeks; deposits will be refunded if we don't have the type of puppy requested: show/pet/male or female. While we try to accommodate color preferences, we do *not* take reservations for a specific color. Our pups range from reds, grays, sables, seals/blacks.

Litter announcements are sent out 10-14 days after the puppies arrive. Groups photos/collages of the litter are taken every 2-3 weeks as time permits. As we work through the evaluation process from 6-8 weeks, individual photos of suitable/available pups will be emailed to clients on the list. In addition to emailing photos, photos are posted on our Gallery Site.

Often we may keep show prospects for several weeks before making our final selection. Some of these Alaskan Malamute puppies will be available to to families looking for a beautiful "show quality" companion dog and will be posted on our Gallery Site.

If possible (depending on litter size and # of males/females) we like to offer a choice of two suitable male or female pet pups for your family based on the puppies' temperament and energy levels. With more than thirty years living with malamutes, we are in the best position for evaluating our own puppies and knowing which pups are most likely to adapt well to your household and lifestyle. Our priority is finding the right home for each of our puppies—ideally a home where the pup will get plenty of exercise and loving care from responsible, devoted owners who are well-equipped to share their lives with an intelligent, high energy working breed. Please note that we reserve the right to cancel a sale and refund a deposit, if we feel a puppy and home are not a good match.

Please keep in mind, malamutes get along best with the opposite sex. Therefore if you have other dogs in the home, it is very important to consider malamute's innate breed characteristics and choose an opposite sex puppy.

For first time malamute owners, we strongly suggest taking a female. They mature more quickly, are easier to train and handle, and tend to be more affectionate, both with adults and children.
